The Diceroller

"The Diceroller" is a multi purpose building within a game. Fist of all it is a building like any other building. It looks like a residence or temple. Besides that it's also a "Diceroller". Since playing these games ask for a lot of dice roling activity it is fun having an item that you can use to preform these gaming actions. I guess the photo's make everything clear.

The Diceroller measures 8 by 8 inch and is 12 inch high. I was looking for an medieval like structure that had to be a-symmetrical. The two types of stone (fieldstone and basic stone) with a variation in depth, in combination with the classic pillars and the wooden shingled roof parts makes it an out of the ordinary structure. The coloring, somewhat tempered, make the two pillars stand out more.

I used foam board and pieces of a round cardboard roll (poster box) as an inner structure for guiding the dice through the structure.

The colours I have used for the chipped stone structures are terracotta and light beige. For the fieldstone structures I used two shapes of grey. The wooden shingles were base painted raw umber and brushed with raw umber. Finally the pillars where first painted a medium beige and from there brushed with light beige and ivory white.
