This is the house of Merchant Smoothes.

Smoothes is a well known merchant around these parts of the island and behind the horizon that lies in front of his house.
His marketing skills, in combination with his rapid tongue and semi good looks makes him a successful entrepreneur.

His interest in trade is unquenchable so Smoothes will sell everything that’s sellable.
It is said that, after some sort of domestic quarrel, he even managed to sell a boat that wasn’t even fully finished building to some silly old captain.

Merchant Smoothes loves luxurious items and above all exposure.
His house is situated near the harbour and is one of the houses that can be seen from far when you are out on open sea.
This has to do with the big windows in his house in which the sun fiercely reflects.

From his house, Merchant Smoothes can see the potential merchandise and buyers, comming in to the harbour, from far.
It is a common site seeing Smoothes running out of the house to the docks, welcoming potential buyers and sellers.

Glass is an expencive material. This is mainly why windows are modest in size. Merchant Smoothes house however has remarkable large window sections.
Having such large and exquisite windows does mean that Smoothes has to be a wealthy merchant.
